Expify started as a simple idea: organize the chaos of AI tools, as I was looking for ideas to build.
I started exploring AI tools directories, whats hot, what tools I can use to increase my productivity and so on. One thing I noticed, is that the tools listed with some tags but filtering, sorting finding the right tool is ineffecient and/or very limited. Additionally I noticed that those platforms stops adding new tools for free once they get some traction, they start charging to make money which defeats the purpose of what they are trying to do in the first place.
Eventually I decided to build my own, I made sure to rank products and only keep high quality AI tools, also I made a decision to keep the platform open for all submissions for free instead of paid and spammy.
Next step is to build a community around the platform, allow users to create accounts, review, vote and connect etc.
