It's horrible how much Apple controls the market. I know of one startup who got shut out of the market because Apple considered there were already enough apps of that kind on their App Store. In many instances if you can't have a mobile app your startup is dead before it started.

I’d love to see that. I’ve never heard of denial for that reason, and the App Store is certainly crowded in every category.
Apple reserves the right to evaporate your startup if your app is deemed to be in a "category that is already saturated".
