Great. This is necessary. All the other contenders should drop out and rally around Cuomo. Otherwise socialist Mamdani will win, on a platform that is economically unsound, with wild promises like spending $100 million a year on a legal defense fund for illegal immigrants or publicly owned grocery stores. But it’s also worse in numerous other ways, like his support for reducing the penalties for various crimes including DUIs and sexual assault - a huge slap in the face of women who have been central to his campaign.
This is leaving aside the fact that he doesn’t have the track record or professional experience that makes him fit for the actual job of leading the world’s most important city. I’m increasingly seeing right wing influencers celebrate his likely election, as they expect him to fail on the job and for the Democrats to continue falling apart as a result. It’s a bad bet for the future.
Totally. And I know that’s a deep irony. But I’m trying to separate the policy from the individual. Ultimately, Mamdani’s rise is also evidence of how bad the other candidates are.

Supporting victims of sexual assault is not a convincing argument for voting Cuomo..
