when linkedin came out in 2003, it filled a gap. it provided a platform for people to share their resumes, work experience, and a space to do business. but as the internet has evolved, so have the needs and required format to convey skills and experience.
i tried to approach this problem by creating a private network for developers and companies to connect. you can find a job on there too, but its main focus is more about showcasing your stack (e.g. a profile is made up of code reviews, a project showcase, system design interview with report), i intentionally left out work exp. and resume since a user can just link their linkedin, and would want an employer to look at a devs work objectively.
then company profiles are about showcasing jobs, work culture, and interview process.
im really tired of the resume process on conventional job boards (which provide little context) and the public nature of linkedin and I feel like there is a better way. if you're interested in supporting a project like this, please feel free to sign up or reach out to me directly. i am just transitioning to promotion cycle for this and would like to collaborate with anyone who shares the values that this type of format offers.
