Unfortunately, I get the feeling Stripe has calculated the costs and realized customer support is more expensive than the LTV of most customers who utilize it.
Meaning, if you have a problem, they'd rather lose you as a customer than provide support. That's how it feels anyway.

Stripe has become very bad over the years, luckily there are many better alternatives now a days.
