We have some training modules at work(large telco) that are essential but are not easy to teach properly without lot of individual attention and supervision. And every year there are more trainees, systems getting more complex etc. Now senior staff dont have to waste their time with all the hand holding and patience testing( trainees dropping out after 3 months of work because they were afraid to ask questions). Its hard to convey what value there is in a system that has infinite patience to sit and hand hold till the trainee reaches the finish line. We are still learning how to exploit that, but it already feels like its going to save a loy of senior staff time.
