From my point of view, genAI makes real online community effectively impossible. Not only can't you be sure that you're interacting with a human, but you can be sure that anything you're saying online is being fed into the gaping maw of genAI training.
I've given up on any meaningful community on the public web. Community now has to be in person or in private online groups where people know each other already. Which, honestly, is not the worst thing.

Oh man, that makes me sad. Because when you publish on the public web, you never know who you are helping.
Private groups or in-person meetings are great too, but foster way less learning.
