Google Maps and your service aren't the only two choices though, there are plenty of easy ways to display a map in a gdpr-friendly way.
I also find it interesting how you say gdpr, European infrastructure, etc... but you are using Cloudflare, Unpkg, Github.io, Colocrossing, Amazon (all of which are ran by American companies) to host this stuff. There's no terms of service, no privacy policy, nothing.

why would someone do it with your tool and not just added it directly to the code traditionally?
