I do think this will end up at genetic optimizations and philosophical questions about whether your child is really your child. But the end of down syndrome is easier to say yes to. Friends with a family member who is affected love them. But there are so many difficulties like figuring out care after the parents pass on. It can break marriages and families. It’s not always like that but it’s a huge challenge.
