The devices themselves are clearly 100% Chinese, Fairphone???
If you aren't running GrapheneOS which is well supported by the community and etc, you are getting scammed.
Keep in mind that the OS alone is nothing if bank apps and what not, will not run in a non-Android phone.
GrapheneOS has been fighiting for this for ages, there are very rare cases now of apps that will not run on GOS because the developers refuse to do things right.
I can only imagine how E Foundation is doing that. Stick to your iPhone or Samsung but do not buy these phones, seriously!!!
I tried to find a link to which phones are supported for this OS. The closest match I found was a Check Device Compatibility button. It takes me to a page at /installer. In Firefox, I got this:
Your navigator is not supported.
WebUSB support is required, you can use the following browsers:
Microsoft Edge, Opera, Chrome
Same page in Vivaldi gave this
Connect your phone to your computer with a USB cable.
We will automatically detect your phone to install /e/OS.
So it looks like, right now, the latest that can be had is the OS based on Android 15.
That's 9 months after Android 16 release.
That's multiple patches, bugfixes and security updates not available from the outset.
TBF i don't think a phone can actually be private without being secure.
I recently installed lineageOS on an old (2018) android phone. It's amazing how snappy it is, and makes a great standalone music player.
That's what I'm mostly scared of. That the only thing Available after the upgrade is the MP3 player
This thing scream scam all over it lmao
