How is that in any way a reason to do it?
I have found that technology is frequently sold by owners, rather than creators, for the two following reasons:
1. "If we don't do it, the other guy will."
2. "Because"
3. "Risks versus benefits? We'll look into that. Tomorrow. Just give me the cash."
