Biobank might have only told the government about this on Monday, but here's an article from 1 month ago about the records being leaked (to github!) during 2025: https://www.theguardian.com/science/2026/mar/14/confidential...

What a joke and not a good one. I remember getting the letter through post to participate and telling my wife I don't trust these guys with that level of personal information. Sad that it came true.
They should be permanently shut down if that’s the case.
Not sure how that follows. It seems mostly irrelevant whether the new incident is related to the github issue.
