The internet is doing just fine, faster and more resilient than ever. All of the things you mention are platforms run by businesses that reside and operate on the internet.
All big platforms get enshittified [1] with time. The bigger they grow the more crapped up they will get but that is a longer topic of greed, corruption, infiltration by assorted bad parties this is a very big list.
The only suggestion I can offer is that technically minded people create small high quality semi-private and private platforms, then invite good people. The same should be done for small physical communities to shield themselves from the big platforms or at least have a fall-back platform ready to accept all the local communities when the big platforms finally implode. These small platforms will have to be operated with vigilance to keep out the riff raff and shenanigans or at least delay the enshittification. Quality over quantity.
Until people in your circle of friends have created small platforms one option would be to add all the big platform domain names to uBlock Origin -> Preferences -> My Filters:
I'm not entirely clear what your complaint is. The internet has evolved constantly since its inception. Trends come and go. Big players come and go. So do small ones. Tools and the sites you use changes over time. All the while, life continues to be lived. Sure, AI is a current trend, for some people. For many others, they ignore it. And still, the world is out there, people are out there. If your internet usage changes... so what? Your life is still your own. Go live it.
The internet is on life support
