What frontier labs need to understand is that to win the battle of acceptance, do more stuff like this!
While unsolved math problems are nice, average people simply do not care about those “accomplishments”. They want progress on things that affect them deeply, things that cause actual hardship and suffering.
Throw your billions at problems like that and everyone cheers you as a savior (which is what they all want in the end anyways - outside of billions of dollars of course)
