The perception is that Western Civilization remaining in control seems dependent on AI/AGI succeeding and leashed by the US. Tenuous grip on the throne, at best, especially in the midst of converging crises in every sector and sphere.
Not to mention who's on the throne and his thumbless grip on reality.
