I find this stuff so annoying. The way you deal with these people -- abusive snowflakes -- is that you say no. We've appeased and appeased and we get nothing in return, Europe is carrying the entire financial burden for supporting Ukraine (which was a reason to try to keep the US happy) and we just get more tariffs every time Trump has a tantrum.
When people step over the line, tell them to fuck off. This is true in personal relationships and international relations alike. Sometimes there is more nuance but in situations like this it's clear that nothing else works.
It's better to say "let me think about it" than to say no. It's even better to say yes to some unimportant things while playing hardball on important issues. For example, the US does continue to provide funding to Ukraine that was approved by Congress in December last year: https://www.defensenews.com/global/europe/2026/09/25/trump-a... and I suspect there'll be another aid package after the midterms.
Also, from the article: "Canadian officials are still participating in the conference," "Despite withdrawing its branding as an official supporter, the EU continues to fund the conference."

Branding?
It remains a sponsor but the Main Sponsors list shown in the pic has removed its name.
So, this disinfo conference now disinforms participants of the sponsor identities. USA: "Job done."

Abusive snowflakes equipped with WMD.
