I really wish this had stayed out of the media for another few months. Right now the apps look like the creative suite, but are clearly missing lots of functionality and it’s still too early to say if they’ll reach the same quality bar as the thing they’re recreating.
Agreed. And I seriously doubt that this is anything else other than spaghetti code with oodles of software-bug meatballs throughout.
I’m cautiously optimistic, but I’m holding back until it’s been extensively stress-tested.
Plus, who’s to say it isn’t crammed with telemetry? Someone is gonna have to break out the wireshark and isolated VM to figure that out. Assuming it hasn’t been built to recognize testing environments and to shut the hell up when it’s in one.
PS: They have now Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and even AutoCad clone too in progress with repos receiving commits very few minutes.

The source code will tell you if it has telemetry. Inspect it. There’s no need to speculate on that.

What's the legal status on this?

Obviously if every programmer points their agents at the repo to contribute this is going to snowball pretty fast
