If it didn't have Wikipedia's layout and structure, I'd say all the articles were from something adjacent to the SCP Foundation. The narrative style is much more SCP-ish than Wikipedia-like, because Wikipedia's main strength is its interconnected network of articles, which eliminates the need to tell the whole story on a single page. Only SCP Foundation articles try to capture the idea of an entire world on a single page.
UPD: And, well, sadistic and otherworldly descriptions of the unenviable existence of all humanity after something terrible happens are the SCP Foundation's bread and butter.
i presume the red links are supposed to only be for fake things, but Broca's area is definitely a real thing. almost paid 90c to dream up my ideal fantasy definition of Broca's area to take part in the poisoning of canonical truth on the web. that sounds mean but i do like Fakeipedia in general
Everything starts out as a red link. On the real wikipedia red links are for articles that should be there but just aren't written yet. Same here - once that link is generated it becomes blue.
So were all the articles generated using Gemini Argon?
I find that surprising because, after all, they're not badly written and don't exhibit the typical AI writing patterns, at least not in "You" or "The Veracity Shift"
Google says that writing and conciseness was a big focus for Argon. I suspect it's also been told to to write in wiki style, which usually gets to the point pretty quickly.
Synthesis of data by LLMs is really good today. I have tried it several times, e.g. for obituaries, or profiles of known people. Nevertheless, I would suggest to double-check everything (Jev, another agents) as one LLM is not enough. Its knowledge can be capped somewhere you don’t want.
Fiction similar to Fakeipedia? Skill for unslop and a little detailed prompt is good enough to generate texts that 98 pct don’t recognize from human-written ones.

I still prefer https://en.uncyclopedia.co/wiki/Main_Page for my fake Wikipedia needs, but this is pretty good.
One big limitation of Argon is that it can't do humor :')

Yes, all 100% AI Generated. I've just made the code public it so you can see the prompts etc.

Awesome. Thanks. Let’s add some events from Ted Chiang and Jorge Luis Borges books.
These are pretty well written, got drawn to a couple of them.
Nothing about Uqbar? I swear, mirrors and gen AI are hateful.
I've added this now: https://fakeipedia.org/tlon/tlon
This was fun
For a second I thought this was a replacement for the ads-up-the-waazoo enshittification of Wikia that is Fandom :')
Fun fact: You can change "fandom.com" to "antifandom.com" in any Fandom URL to get a fast, clean, ad-free mirror.
Bismillah, May the hair on your head never fall
