Perhaps the most important thing to know is whether the language I want to learn is supported. But even the FAQ doesn't list them all. Can I use this to learn Danish? Who knows! Looks like I'd have to sign up to find out :/
The ideas is deliberate practice of each sentence, so learner retain it by practicing and repetition.
Before running out of $1/day limit, a learner would potentially run out of cognitive load to absorb new language material (vocabulary + grammar). Of course there's higher plan with higher limit to keep going.
But if a learner is getting fluent, there's option to use Subtitle mode (no pause), which can go longer than Listening or Speaking sessions, these two sessions are designed to pause (automatically or manually) after each sentence to breakdown vocabulary and grammar.

Yes, Danish for input language, give app try with free credits!
(there's a marquee/scrolling supported languages on home page, thanks for feedback, it requires more explicit FAQ)
Also if it's intended to watch shows with you.. then you're gonna hit that 'dollar a day limit' pretty fast on the 29/month plan..
