I build this as we lost our cat and the only people who were helping were our neighbours. Posters work, but barely, while chats/facebook worked the best. The only problem was sharing the reports. I thought that making an app could help and we actually got some sightings of similar cats from other neighbours. This is much more convinient than adding someone as a contact and sending them a WA message.
It would probably not fit the name, but having dogs for that would be really valuable too. Also showing the stats on how many reports / found / missed cats would be helpful for building trust. Good luck with this project!
Thanks! Dogs are gladly not lost as much and much easier to find. I checked, that here in the Netherlands people (report only) loose around 40 cats a day, while with dogs its at best is 1.
We are also building a "care" package to remind of medication / vaccination and general assistant help. Maybe this product would be interesting for dog owners too tbh
