That's an interesting case, I read a while ago about how publicly available health data including research, datasets, and genomic sequencing results were biased to specific regions anyway due to limitations in resources internationally. I think these studies are what inspired projects such as the human genome project to include the entire world in the data as a closer step to personalized medicine.
